The Diversified Technique
This common technique uses a set of manual adjustments, consisting of high-velocity, low-amplitude thrusts, to help correct spinal imbalances and joint dysfunctions. This is the technique most patients think of when they think of chiropractic care.
What Can I Expect?
Our chiropractor will begin by examining your vertebral joints for imbalances, which he will then manually bring back towards alignment with low amplitude manual thrusting, also known as pisiform contact. This forces the joint surfaces to separate, releasing gas and fluid to relieve pressure that has built up in the joint. This decreases interference to the nervous system, allowing patients an increased range of motion and, according to past patients, relieving pain for a better overall physical and mental well-being.
Activator Methods®
This technique uses low force chiropractic instruments in a series of joint manipulations with the goal of bringing you closer to your optimal spinal alignment for gentle pain relief.
What Can I Expect?
Our chiropractor will begin with a spinal flexibility test to identify any subluxation, or partial dislocation or misalignment of vertebrae, that may exist in the patient’s spine. This test consists of a series of bends and turns, as well as leg length measurements to determine if a difference in leg lengths is causing misalignment. Afterwards, our specialist will use a spring-loaded chiropractic tool to keep your adjustment as painless as possible. Depending on the specific needs of our patients, multiple sessions, along with additional treatments, may be needed for long-term pain relief.
The Thompson Technique
This technique uses a specialized table to properly align the spine for patients suffering from subluxation.
What Can I Expect?
Like many of the procedures listed, this technique begins with a thorough examination of your back and legs to conclude whether a subluxation exists. Our chiropractor will then use a segmented cushion-top table that is specially designed for adjustments, asking the patient to lie face down while they work. The specific design of the Thompson table allows for more precise adjustments, which is especially helpful for patients experiencing back pain.
The Webster Technique
This technique is sacral analysis and diversified adjustment that is specifically designed to address the effects of sacral subluxation, also known as SI joint disfunction, to aid in natural childbirth.
What Can I Expect?
The Webster Technique helps with neuro-biomechanical function in the pelvis and keeps the sacrum aligned for better uterine function and pelvic contraction during birth. It is not a breech baby turning technique, though it can help a baby stay in optimal position, but is instead designed to make the pregnancy more comfortable for mother and child. There are minimal risks associated with the Webster Technique and is generally considered highly successful. We encourage all our patients to seek chiropractic care starting early in their pregnancy.

Spinal Decompression
This technique is a nonsurgical treatment designed to help repair spinal discs by increasing blood flow through the spine.
What Can I Expect?
Spinal decompression accomplishes its goals by reducing pressure on the spine. This opens up space between vertebrae to improve blood flow, giving damaged and degraded vertebrae and discs the essential nutrients, oxygen and water they need for cell and tissue health and repair. The extra space between vertebrae can also create a vacuum of space for herniated discs to be pulled back into alignment.
